ICDS Teacher (Anganwadi Worker) Salary in West Bengal

The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme was launched in 1975. This programs was introduced for early childhood care, nutrition, health, and pre-school education. In West Bengal, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) are often referred to as ICDS teachers or Anganwadi teachers.

Anganwadi Helper (Sahayika): ~₹5,250 – ₹6,500 per month

Post-hike (as per budget announcement):

Anganwadi Worker (AWW/ICDS Teacher): ~₹13,250 – ₹14,000 per month

Anganwadi Helper: ~₹10,000 – ₹11,000 per month
